About Us.

The mission of the districtHRC is to identify, understand, and promote the stewardship of the architectural heritage and cultural landscape within the District of Columbia. districtHRC is engaged in promoting the role of historic preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, and adaptive use within the profession through the development of information and knowledge among members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

• To provide education and learning opportunities for those wanting to get into the field of HP.

• To expand career development within Historic Preservation and partner with EAC and academia.

• To advocate for HP policies and strengthen relationships with the government sector.

• To increase visibility of local historically significant buildings and landmarks, with a focus on equity in all of the DC's wards.
